Agapé Center for Environmental Education

We are a carefully developed and integrated program designed to meet the goals of science set forth by the NC Department of Public Instruction.

ACE Education experiences make use of experiential learning – proven to be the most effective method of education.

Activities include those developed by our Environmental Educator, as well as others from Project Learning Tree, Project WET, Project WILD, NC Catch and other nationally known environmental education curricula.

Located on 624 acres of beautiful rolling hills, cascading streams, and diverse forests, Camp Agapé is located just 50 minutes from downtown Raleigh. This unique and secluded setting, provides a special "time and place-apart" that lends itself perfectly to small group experiences.

Agapé trails are open for hiking on your own. Enjoy God’s Creation! Please Stop at the Welcome Center Porch (Box on right side of door) Sign-in and Sign Out there please (use your own pen) Proceed to the parking area at the Woodlands Center Parker Classroom - lower level (open air shelter) Picnic tables and bathrooms open and sanitized daily Trail Maps Available All other buildings are locked - please do not attempt to open doors Enjoy a respite in God’s Creation!!

Hands-on opportunities to support K-8 students

Join an experienced ACE Ed environmental educator for an hour or more exploring the wonders of nature at Agapé while expanding your classroom experience! It’s a perfect way to get a little extra knowledge in a fun way as a family or individuals. Our learning lab is over 600 acres, come and explore!
